Morning: The Soul of Old Delhi (08:00 AM – 11:30 AM)

Your day begins in the historic heart of the city. We recommend starting early to beat the heat and the mid-morning traffic.

Jama Masjid: Start at this 17th-century architectural marvel. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan, it can hold 25,000 devotees. The view from the top of the southern minaret offers a panoramic look at the "walled city."
Chandni Chowk & Rickshaw Ride: From the mosque, hop onto a cycle rickshaw. You’ll navigate through Khari Baoli (Asia's largest spice market). The scents of cardamom, chilies, and turmeric are unforgettable.
Red Fort (Photo Stop): As you exit the markets, witness the massive red sandstone walls of the Red Fort. While a full tour takes hours, a stop here for history and photos is essential for any New Delhi City Tour Package - 1-Day.

Midday: Tributes and Transitions (11:30 AM – 01:30 PM)

Raj Ghat: A short drive away lies the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Set amidst lush green lawns, it provides a quiet contrast to the morning's hustle.
The Ceremonial Axis: Head toward New Delhi. You will drive through the Lutyens’ Delhi Your guide will point out the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the circular Parliament House, representing the architectural transition from British rule to Indian democracy.
India Gate: A quick stop at the 42-meter high archway. It’s the perfect spot for a quick snack (try the local Bhelpuri) and some people-watching.

Afternoon: The Garden Tombs and Ancient Towers (02:30 PM – 05:30 PM)

After a traditional North Indian lunch (think butter chicken or dal makhani), delve into the city's archaeological gems.

Humayun’s Tomb: Often cited as the most beautiful building in Delhi, this UNESCO site sits within a "Charbagh" (four-part garden). The symmetry and the red-and-white marble work are stunning.
The Lotus Temple: (Note: Closed on Mondays). This Baháʼí House of Worship is open to all religions. The architecture resembles a floating lotus flower, and the interior is dedicated to silent meditation.
Qutub Minar: End your sightseeing at the Qutub complex. The 73-meter minaret is covered in intricate carvings and Quranic inscriptions. Don’t miss the Iron Pillar, which has stood for over 1,500 years without rusting—a testament to ancient Indian metallurgy.

We had a wonderful experience. Reading about Taj Mahal does not compare to being there and getting the information and the intricate details.
